    With a focus on ballroom dancing—Partner Dancing Standard / Latin—we offer dance courses, workshops, and more in and around Zurich for (re-)beginners to highly advanced dancers—always with the aim of imparting high quality with a lot of fun:

    Going Dancing

    We are committed to revitalising the Zurich ballroom dance scene and bringing it together. To this end, we organise our own dance evenings and dance events, whereby we take care not to overlap with other events in the interest of a broad and attractive offer in the scene.

    • A stylish dance evening every month: our Social Dance Evening, typically on the 2nd Saturday of the month.
    • Sporadic organisation of other dance events within the scope of our possibilities.
    • Cooperation within the scene.
    • Participation in larger events.

    Enjoying Community

    As a group with similar interests and largely the same mindset, we place a lot of value on club life. Therefore, club and team events are an integral part of our programme:

    • Honest and friendly tone.
    • Cultivating community after meetings and general assemblies.
    • Club Events—sometimes with more and sometimes with less connection to dancing.

    Some of our club events are also open to a wider audience. Just contact us and come along without obligation!

    Welcome at Tanzclub Academia!

    Welcome to your go-to place for well-kept ballroom dancing in Zurich and surroundings!

    Founded in 2019, we have made it our goal to make high-quality ballroom dancing accessible to all interested parties. That is why we offer amongst other things:

    • A club-run dance school focussing on ballroom and partner dancing.
    • Sporadic workshops on specific ballroom dance topics.
    • Support for your own practice and training.
    • Stylish dance events that invite you to enjoy dancing.
    • Club programmes with more or less dance-related content.
    • A highly motivated and qualified management and teaching team.
    • Member of the Tanzvereinigung Schweiz (TVS) including health insurance recognition.

    Involvement & Membership

    We are happy about everyone who wants to join or/and support us—whether as a helper (e.g. at the SDE), as a member or otherwise!

    Our active members benefit from special rates for club offers, receive special support from the club management and our trainers, help shaping the future of our association, have an influence on the dance scene in the Zurich area—and more!

    Management

    Tanzclub Academia is lead by its Board of at max seven members, supported by Administration.

    The current board and team member, together forming the association's management, can be found at our Management site.

    Like every association, we base our existence on Art. 60 ff. ZGB and our statutes, supplemented by regulations and the directives of the board.
