Ballroom Standard & Latin: Ballroom Journey – Fundamentals & Essentials

The courses in the Ballroom Journey series offer a regular programme for anyone who wants to improve their dance skills in a balanced way at an advanced level!
We lay a solid foundation for your dancing, focusing on basic movements, couple coordination and the essential figures. Step by step we will learn the basic principles so that you can move safely on the dance floor. As we progress, we deepen the principles of technique, introduce further figures and help you to develop a better understanding of musicality and flow of movement.

This course is ideal for advanced beginners and returners who already know the basics (at least 4 to 6 courses or half a year to a year of dance experience) and want to develop their skills in a targeted manner.
The content of the lessons is roughly based on the club's course concept, but can be flexibly adapted to the wishes and needs of the participants. This makes it possible to start at any time, provided you have the appropriate prior knowledge (newcomer syllabus according to ISTD/IDTA). Any differences in dance level can be easily managed in this way and levelled out over time. Nevertheless, we recommend a non-binding taster visit for lateral entrants before registering.

From a stilistic point of view, this course is located in the area of Ballroom Standard & Latin. This class is held as a Club Offer with 5 lessons.

Pay As You Go (PAYG): If you are unable to attend regularly, we offer you the opportunity to attend lessons “spontaneously” for this offer (registration/cancellation at least 3 days in advance is appreciated) and pay for them on site (TWINT or card).
Price: CHF 40 per lesson; CHF 2 discount for students and active members (cumulative). If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please select the “pay as you go option” in your registration (in step 3).

The level of this course course is Intermediate 1 (3/7). The focus of this course will be on the dance(s) English Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep, Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive.
